If your dog's leg measurements don't fit perfectly in a Walkin' splint, add foam for extra support. Putting this inside a dog splint fills any gaps between the dog's leg and the splint allowing the most supportive splint fit possible. Each foam kit comes with a template, cut this out and add the foam inside the splint.
Follow the guidelines below:
- Choose your template that matches the splint you bought (front, rear, hock, carpal, bootie)
- Choose the size that matches your splint size and cut the template from the pattern sheet
- Trace or tape the cut-out to the paper-backed side of the foam sheet
- Carefully cut shape
- Before removing the backing, check the fit and trim if necessary
- Once completely satisfied with the fit of the splint on the pet’s leg, peel the backing and adhere to the splint
