Muffin's Halo Guide for Blind Dogs

Poor sight or vision is an unfortunate daily reality for many dogs. It can lead to injuries on the nose, snout and head, a lack of confidence and uncertainty when moving around and a decreased quality of life.

Rarely dogs are born blind, without eyes (anophthalmia) or develop poor sight at a young age and are often able to adapt to their life in darkness but more commonly blindness is caused later in life. Blindness can occur as a result of diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), SARDS (Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome), cataracts, PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy), injury trauma, untreated eye infections, stroke or diseases associated with old age. Most blindness conditions deteriorate over time - you may notice your dog occasionally bumping into objects as an early symptom of poor sight but this can turn into serious injuries as time goes on and the blindness gets worse.

There are very few products to help blind dogs on the market, but Zoomadog are pleased to be able to bring the multi-award winning Muffin's Halo to the UK and Europe!

There are lots of videos and testimonials online about how quickly blind dogs are able have a better quality of life thanks to this harness. Muffin's Halo can give your dog a new lease on life!
