Review: "Fantastic for agility. We go to fly ball and I was worried about my dog injuring tendons / ligaments as he has a weakness in his left wrist. I now have peace of mind. They fit really well and are easy to wash." [David]  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • My dog has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma and is limping on his front right. While he still has spirit we are looking for a support while he is still out walking to help prevent fractures. Please advise

The Therapaw Carpo Flex Sports Dog Wrap only provides moderate support. This might not be enough to prevent bone fracture from the Osteosarcoma as the disease progresses. Scandi Orthopedic Dog Carpal Front Splint - Grade 2.5 is an alternative. It gives customisable, rigid support - or there's the option to use it as a wrap only, for lighter support.

  • Hi. Our vizsla has cut his carpal pad, it’s a slice horizontally across. He’s prone to injuries so can you recommend a carpal pad wrap we could use when he’s off lead that would protect his carpal pads. Many thanks

This sounds painful for your Vizsla. I would highly recommend looking at the Therapaw Carpo Flex Sports Wrap. These will protect the carpal pad but are great when exercising or in the house, can also be worn for long periods.

  • Measuring Our border collie measurement was 13.5cm circumference, which is large. Can that be right? The breed is only medium dog sized, with quite skinny legs.

13.5cm can be Medium or Large.
So it depends on the 'Height' measurement of your dog.
Measure from the floor to the top of where the wrap would finish. If your dog is 15cm, this is a Medium. If you dog is 18cm, this is Large.

Therapaw Carpo Flex Sports Dog Wrap (light to moderate)

Customer Question:

After a knee ligament injury my dog's joints click when he sits or lies down. When he walks, he has a slight limp. What leg wrap or leg support would you recommend?

Answer:

You have broadly two options in terms of dog leg wraps depending on the strength of wrap and support you think your dog would prefer.

1. Light to Moderate Leg Support - please see our Therapaw Carpo Flex Sports Dog Wrap. This wrap can be worn for exercise or simply in the house, it can help reduce your dog's limp by providing support it can't currently give itself due to the injury.

2. Moderate to Strong Leg Support - please see our Therapaw Carpo Flex X Dog Wrap. This is the strongest wrap we provide, it is a very high quality wrap which will give extremely strong support to the leg. It acts similar to a splint but without the hard shell.

For either wrap, start by measuring two parts of the dogs leg. This will give you the size wrap you require.

a. The circumference
b. The length

No limping at last

Molly wore the support today for the first time and it was a joy to see her trotting along without limping. Yiu would have scored full mark's had it not been for the cost which seems high and the use of unreliable royal mail!

Carpo-flex sports wrap.

Purchased for support for my whippet with arthritis in her left front carpal joint, it was very flimsy and offered no support whatsoever. I paid £54 plus postage for something that probably cost under £5 to make absolutely disgusting when someone is trying to care for their pets.

The wrap seems to work well is not restrictive but still offers support.
I bought large for my Boxer and fitted well. I had to trim a little excess strap off which was easy.
Looks well made. I’ve deducted one star as feel the price is a little high.
But overall happy with purchase.

Nicely firm but still flexible

This looks like it’s giving good support to my dog’s arthritic wrist. I like the design and materials. Four stars because these things matter most.
I don’t like the colour! We have a small size wrap, which comes in violently bright red. These are very expensive, so a colour choice would be a nice addition!
We had to order a second one because our measurements gave us medium (verging in large), but this was clearly too big, although just about wearable. The small was much better. So at these prices a wasted first buy was annoying.

Quality support but not cheap!

Flaps should go outwards. Good support though. Too expensive!
I know how much horses brushing boots cost and also adult wrist support costs, same fabric plus Velcro.
