This Full Leg Dog Splint is a far superior splint to the regular rigid splint as you can adjust exactly to fit your dogs leg, including to accommodate for swelling or bandages. The full leg splint is excellent if your dogs needs a totally adjustable splint for either a front or back leg, adjustable in terms of both width and angle. You can then simply reduce the size when bandages are taken off. This splint can be used for front or back leg, just change the angle to fit either. This adjustable splint provides complete support to the lower leg, allowing support to arthritic joints or injuries, promoting healing and recovery.

  • Excellent and superior splint providing complete lower leg stability
  • Helps with paw, wrist, carpal, hock, Achilles, front and rear leg issues
  • Very light weight
  • Easy to wear, simply place the paw in the splint with your dogs nails at the edge, then fasten the Velcro straps
  • Interior foam, providing padding and comfort
  • Ideal for paw knuckling, severe arthritis, injuries or tendons
  • Rubber none-slip base for traction

  • My dog has a missing front leg. Her amputation is full so she never had a possibility for a prosthetic as she has no stump. She has managed great until now. She is a rescue dog about 11 years old and I have had her for 9 years and she has always had 3 legs. Her front leg has started collapsing now and then after walks or playing with her dog friend. Would a brace help her to put the weight on her leg without it collapsing or pain? She doesn’t seem to be in pain and never helps or cries. I’m trying to help her around the house and to go in short walks. Thank you.

This splint is very rigid. This means if your dog only has one leg remaining, they will not be able to bend this leg to move. They will therefore before stuck.

Instead, it would be best to look at a full and firm carpal wrap here. An advantage with a wrap is that they can wear this all day as there is no hard brace which might rub. Get in touch if you need any more information. You might also consider reading up about quad wheelchair for front amputees here. This will take the weight of their remaning leg and make sure they don't injury themselves

Brace snapped at the joint

I'm very shocked, surprised and frustrated that the XL brace has snapped for my girl. It surely shouldn't have done that! I used the instructions to set the brace and was working absolutely perfectly for days. Then it's just snapped when my girl put a little more pressure onto it. I've had to tape it together with gorilla tape until I can find another brace.
My girl is a rhodesian ridgeback so isn't the biggest dogs this should fit and withstand weight.

Walking Pets Full Rigid

Solo decided that she would try paragliding out of a 12ft window while I was in work. She fractured a left Carpal and two metacarpals with hyper extension to her ligaments. After being house bound for 3 weeks with palative care I purchased the rigid leg. She was born with much shorter legs than most chows so getting the right size was a challenge as she has such big paws. Opted for the large but it was digging into her shoulder joint. Took the liberty of sawing off the top buckle and shaping it for a much better fit. To say she’s happy to be out is an understatement.
Excellent bit of equipment. (The One Tigris full lifting harness is a fantastic addition- tried uploading a video but will only let me do pictures)
I now have a much happier lady in the house as she can get up and go out in the garden or drink or feed or just look out of different windows whenever she wants.

Very lightweight but didn’t fit my border terrier (xs) still too big and she couldn’t walk with it so we haven’t used it unfortunately. Expensive mistake but hope it works for others!

Brilliant piece of kit

This has given us extra time with our beloved 14 year Border Collie. A failed hock joint fusion would have meant her being put to sleep, but this splint does exactly what it needs to. She is coping very well with it and it's worth it weight in gold. The company too are such fantastic help and support. Massive thanks to Joss and Emily

A life-changer for my dog

Not wishing to sound overly dramatic but this firm brace was a life-changer for us. Mia suffered a plantar ligament disruption injury in January and was unable to use the bespoke prosthetic fitted by the vet specialist as it caused pressure sores and didn’t offer appropriate support.
This brace has allowed us to build up her exercise and muscle tone that, in turn, has helped with fitness in preparation for her surgery.
Most importantly, her wellbeing has improved exponentially by getting out and about. She’s a previously active border collie so needed the mental stimulation,
This has worked out perfectly for us. It is easy to fit and provides excellent support.
Advice I’d offer: watch that the screws don’t come loose at the back and check for rubbing on your dog after every walk.
