A high feeder, or elevated dog bowl, is a good choice if:
- Your dog is a tall breed. Elevated bowls ease strain on the neck, shoulders and joints as they lean over.
- Your dog has arthritis or weak joints. They will find it more comfortable to eat from a raised position, avoiding stress on painful joints.
- Your dog has had surgery and is weak and unsteady on its paws, a high feeder can make eating easier and less painful.
- Your dog is a messy eater. The contained raised bowls mean they can't move them around.
- Your dog can get bloated
