The Walkabout Rear Lift Walking Dog Harness is our most popular rear end harness helping dogs with arthritis, back and rear leg weakness and general fatigue. Post your dog's legs through the leg holes and pull it up like a pair of trousers. Pull the straps firmly over and secure the Velcro. Use the handles to help your dog up and down when getting them out of bed or into the garden. This is a simple harness with easy handles, the handles are long enough you don't need to bend over when standing next to your dog. You can combine this rear harness with the Walkabout Front Lift Harness if your dog needs both front and rear support.

  • Excellent for supporting dogs with weaker mobility
  • Handles of varying lengths help you stand up straight
  • Can be left on all-day
  • Available for amputee dogs, please see below

Review: "This was suggested as an alternative to another product, and I have found it fantastic with Ellies weak back legs. Its been a godsend for getting her out for walks again and so easy to use." [Nigel, UK]  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Determined Dog

Hugo has lost lots of muscle wastage after being paralysed with ivdd, he is determined and moved a lot. The harness is a great addition between hydrotherapy sessions helping him to keep his legs apart so he can use them independently without crossing over and hopefully learn to walk and build his muscle. Thank you Zoomadog 😃🐶

We were pleased with this harness as it offered better support than many others. I became a little disappointed as time went on, bearing in mind it was bought only four months ago and the hefty price tag, that it has stretched a little. Our Sprocker Spaniel has not regained the ability to walk by himself and we now know he won't, his comfort is most important and I am now altering the harness to make it easier for him. He has also lost muscle mass in his hind quarters, so the problem is two fold but not all down to the harness. The harness is a better quality than we found with others.

Far too expensive for what it is

I fail to see where £60 (+£15 next day post) is in this harness? Bought this over others on the web thinking it would be something special at this price. It’s just a bit of neoprene with some webbing stitched on and a bit of Velcro. Also the handles are not adjustable for length so if you’re 6ft or over you will have to stoop which is a major design flaw. Yes, it does a ok job, is easy enough to get on/off and my disabled dog can actually toilet without making a mess on the harness unlike others I have tried. If this was half the price I wouldn’t have minded so much, just expected better for the price.

Well worth the purchase

Great product, brilliant customer service, has enabled us to take our Giant Schnauzer out for walks again, so grateful. If handle lengths were adjustable would be even better, but even so our dog appreciates the harness and so does our backs!
