The Walkabout Rear Lift Walking Dog Harness is our most popular rear harness helping dogs with arthritis, back and rear leg weakness and general fatigue. Post your dog's legs through the back-leg holes and pull them up like a pair of trousers, pull the straps firmly over and secure the Velcro. Use the handles to help your dog up and down when getting them out of bed or into the garden. This is a simple harness with easy handles, the handles are long enough you don't need to bend over when standing next to your dog. You can combine this rear harness with the Walkabout Front Lift Harness if your dog needs both front and rear support.

  • Excellent for supporting dogs with weaker mobility
  • Handles of varying lengths help you stand up straight
  • Can be left on all-day
  • Available for amputee dogs, please see below

She is getting on really well with the blue back leg harness, it's far softer and pliable. And it has really helped me! My back no longer hurts, so it's an amazing benefit for us both.

Is not as sturdy as I thought it would be and put weight in the description to make it easier for people to judge what size they need and the handles need to be longer

Rear Dog Harness

This has given my dog confidence again when going up the dog ramp and up & down steps. I don't keep it on whilst walking. It protects his hips when lifting.

My baby girl has a disease called DM.

She lost feeling in her rear legs awhile ago and we purchased the Walkabout Back End Harness for her. This has helped us keep her mobile for so long.

My 12 year old Australian Cattle Dog has degenerative myelopathy.

The rear end harness really helps him on walks. The booties are comfortable for him and protect the tops of his hind paws when he drags his hind legs in the house or yard.
