Review: "I bought this brace after my collie had a bad dislocation in the right leg. It worked really well and helped prevent the hip coming out again. He even swam in it!" [Sarah, UK]  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Customer Questions:

The brace has arrived! The spinal strap seems a bit lop-sided?

Zoomadog Answer:

Yes the spinal strap should go along you dog's ridge. Play around and adjust the front straps, perhaps start with the back one and then correct the front.

Customer Question Two:

The Orthodog diagram says measure height from paw to lower back, and this looks like a straight line on the diagram so if I place a ruler on his lower back and point it against the wall, is that the right height then if I measure straight down the wall from the ruler?

Zoomadog Answer:

Yes you are completely right! Use the wall - place a ruler on his lower back and point it against the wall,. then measure straight down the wall from the ruler. That would be perfect.

It’s amazing. My 14 nearly 15 year old labrador stopped walking and standing completely because of arthritis but a couple of hours after wearing this she started to stand and wander around by herself. She started off a little rickety but her mobility and stability is improving daily.

Did not work for my dog

Item was ineffective for my dog (36KG labradoodle), mainly because an F1B labradoodle (dad is Standard Poodle) he has quite narrow hips from the poodle side.

He needed large for the harness which fitted well but the medium brace was just way too large. The brace places only minimal lateral pressure so didn't find that it held his hip in position very much. Have now received replacement which is Balto BT life so will see how we get on with that one.
