How Does the Shoulder Stabilisation System Work?
The Shoulder Stabilisation System supports both front limbs simultaneously to reduce excessive shoulder movement while still allowing your dog to walk safely during recovery. The adjustable strap system limits shoulder extension, flexion and outward movement (abduction), helping to stabilise the joint without completely immobilising it. Unlike traditional slings, it allows continued rehabilitation while helping reduce muscle loss during recovery.
Fitting Your Shoulder Stabilisation System
For the best fit, we recommend fitting the Shoulder Stabilisation System while your dog is standing.
Position the shoulder cuffs comfortably around each front leg before securing the adjustable straps across your dog's shoulders and chest. The brace should feel secure without being restrictive, allowing your dog to move naturally while limiting excessive shoulder motion.
Take time to adjust each fastening until the brace sits comfortably without twisting or slipping. Your dog should be able to stand, sit, lie down and walk comfortably while wearing the system.
As every brace is custom made, we recommend checking the fit regularly during the first few days of use and making small adjustments where necessary to achieve the most comfortable position.
Tips for Using Your Shoulder Stabilisation System
Introduce the brace gradually, allowing your dog time to become familiar with wearing it before increasing wear time.

Caring for Your Shoulder Stabilisation System
Remove loose hair and dirt regularly using a lint roller or soft brush to help keep the brace clean between washes.
Fasten all Velcro closures before washing to prevent them from catching on other fabrics.
Machine wash on a gentle or delicate cycle using a mild detergent.
Allow the brace to air dry naturally or tumble dry on a low heat setting. Avoid high temperatures, which may reduce the lifespan of the materials and fastenings.
