What Should I Do?

If you are taking the non-surgical route and the vet manually puts the joint back into place. Your dog’s shoulder joint will then be immobilised for between 2 and 6 weeks using a brace or sling, depending on how much damage the dislocation caused, so that the muscles. Recuperation will include rest, controlled exercise and anti-inflammatory painkillers.
Recovery can take a few more months post rest, to be fully mobile and regain the joint range and motion it had before the injury. Physiotherapy and hydrotherapy are recommended for a full and faster recovery.
