The WagWear rubber dog boots are excellent if your dog needs protection for paw knuckling, paw dragging or splaying. These rubber boots protect the top of their paw skin and nails, and allows them to grip or normal or slippery surfaces. The rubber material means these are resilient boots which do not break or split as quickly as others when used for paw knuckling or dragging. Very secure boots with a Velcro strap around the top. Your dog will be able to run and corner with confidence as the soles are non-slip. If you're looking for breathable WagWear boots please look at WagWear Mojave which have holes and therefore more breathable and less hot / sweaty inside (good for summer).

Please note: This boot can not stand excessive wear. If your dog's knuckling severely, please look at Maximus PawsUp or buy WagWear boots once worn out.

  • Excellent protection for paw knuckling, paw dragging or splaying
  • 100% rubber.. They do not break, crack or split like others
  • Wide boot opening and easy Velcro straps to secure
  • Non-slip allowing your dog to get around corners
  • Washing boots is easy as rubber, can go swimming

Review: "Nina seems to walk with confidence which wasn’t the case before as she has damaged nerve endings due to epilepsy. Compared to the Walkabout knuckling boots these are almost silent which is so much better." [Lynn, Somerset] ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

WagWear WagWellies® Rubber Dog Boots (black, a pair)

Benefits

WagWellies®, the original wagwear “Wellington” boots. These 100% rubber, slip-on puddle jumpers are built to last. The open-vented slits make them a breeze to slide on, while also creating a secure fit that will stay put even while on the run. Our patented design is sleek, sturdy, and, most importantly, comfortable, making for the perfect paw protection.

How to Measure

- Place a piece of paper on a hard floor surface.
- Have your dog stand and bear weight with the affected paw on the piece of paper.
- Trace around the outline of the paw, keeping the pen vertical and in continuous contact with the paw.
- Determine the Paw Width and Paw Length by standing your dog on a piece of paper and tracing around the paw. The paw width is left to right, and the paw length is the back of the paw to the end of the longest toe nail. These boots are square so if your dog has longer paws 'Hare shape' feet or needs a medical grade boot, please see Therapaw Boots.

Didn't stay on well enough

These should have been much better than they are considering the price. Despite measuring my dog's paw and doing the velcro up tightly around his ankle, they slip down really quickly, and I spent a lot of time adjusting them. The online chat person had a few suggestions, but they didn't work. I don't think the design is very good.

Opening too small

As expected, a quality boot, however whilst I believe the actual foot size was correct, the opening to get the foot in was too small so will be returning.

Not suitable

I've tightened the boot to the max but the boot just slips down my dogs leg and she ends up walking on the back of the boot

No good for my dog

Aperture too small. I would have to force his paw in to get them on. Returning boots tomorrow. Sorry, but you wanted to know!
