The WagWear rubber dog boots are excellent if your dog needs protection for paw knuckling, paw dragging or splaying. These rubber boots protect the top of their paw skin and nails, and allows them to grip or normal or slippery surfaces. The rubber material means these are resilient boots which do not break or split as quickly as others when used for paw knuckling or dragging. Very secure boots with a Velcro strap around the top. Your dog will be able to run and corner with confidence as the soles are non-slip. If you're looking for breathable WagWear boots please look at WagWear Mojave which have holes and therefore more breathable and less hot / sweaty inside (good for summer).

Please note: This boot can not stand excessive wear. If your dog's knuckling severely, please look at Maximus PawsUp or buy WagWear boots once worn out.

  • Excellent protection for paw knuckling, paw dragging or splaying
  • 100% rubber.. They do not break, crack or split like others
  • Wide boot opening and easy Velcro straps to secure
  • Non-slip allowing your dog to get around corners
  • Washing boots is easy as rubber, can go swimming

Review: "Nina seems to walk with confidence which wasn’t the case before as she has damaged nerve endings due to epilepsy. Compared to the Walkabout knuckling boots these are almost silent which is so much better." [Lynn, Somerset] ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

WagWear WagWellies® Rubber Dog Boots (black, a pair)

Benefits

WagWellies®, the original wagwear “Wellington” boots. These 100% rubber, slip-on puddle jumpers are built to last. The open-vented slits make them a breeze to slide on, while also creating a secure fit that will stay put even while on the run. Our patented design is sleek, sturdy, and, most importantly, comfortable, making for the perfect paw protection.

How to Measure

- Place a piece of paper on a hard floor surface.
- Have your dog stand and bear weight with the affected paw on the piece of paper.
- Trace around the outline of the paw, keeping the pen vertical and in continuous contact with the paw.
- Determine the Paw Width and Paw Length by standing your dog on a piece of paper and tracing around the paw. The paw width is left to right, and the paw length is the back of the paw to the end of the longest toe nail. These boots are square so if your dog has longer paws 'Hare shape' feet or needs a medical grade boot, please see Therapaw Boots.

Searched high & low for some waterproof boots for Winnie our Mini Dachshund who is currently recovering from IVDD and drags her back legs. These boots are perfect for protecting & keeping her feet dry. The size XXS was spot on! Thank you for your advice though on which boots would be suitable.

Absolute game changers, well worth the cost.

Our dog with CDM had stated to knuckle and drag but with the wagwear wellies she walks near-normal! Also, they are sturdy and don't wear down like boots for non-knuckling dogs would. Worth every penny!

Look really robust but after only 2 weeks of use they are starting to crack already

I was very excited to find these, as the previous boots I'd used for years for my dog were discontinued and were getting really worn. I could only find softer boots which just couldn't withstand his dragging paws.

These looked really well made and fit great. However, we've had them for 10 days, and the boots are starting to crack already, so I don't think they'll be lasting very long, sadly. He has 3 short walks a day, just on pavement so I don't believe we're putting them through anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps I got a duff pair, but sadly I don't think I'd buy again and look elsewhere.

Slipped down

Measured my dogs foot as instructed but slipped down the foot and flapped about. Although it didn’t come off in the short time we tried it it was not usable. I had to send it back unfortunately.
