Fit Fur Life Professional Dog Treadmill is excellent for providing controlled exercise, fitness, conditioning and rehabilitation in professional and high-use environments. Designed for veterinary practices, canine physiotherapists, hydrotherapy and rehabilitation centres, referral centres, vet schools and professional working-dog facilities including MOD, the Professional model is suitable for all breeds from Chihuahua to giant breeds, including dogs up to 89cm at the shoulder and weighing up to 130kg. The 200cm x 44cm running area, 2HP motor and 0.4–20km/h speed range allow exercise to be tailored to each dog's pace and fitness level, making the treadmill useful for building muscle, interval training, cardiovascular fitness, weight management, structured conditioning and controlled rehabilitation. Ten incremental incline settings and five incremental decline settings provide approximately 4% incline and 4% decline, allowing uphill and downhill walking to alter muscle engagement and provide additional options for controlled exercise, conditioning and professionally directed rehabilitation. The galvanised steel frame, high-pressed plywood deck and heavy-duty galvanised steel wire mesh side guards provide a durable construction for professional use, while upright storage and integrated wheels make the treadmill easier to move and store.
How to use: Introduce your dog to the stationary treadmill using a nice loose lead, allowing your dog to become comfortable with the equipment. Continue working on a loose lead while your dog becomes confident and learns to walk naturally on the treadmill. A harness can be introduced later if required, although many dogs will not need one. Never leave your dog unattended while using the treadmill.
