5, 10, and 15 Hz for our frequency settings.
We have based our carrier frequency on that frequency that was originally FDA approved back in the 1970s for bone healing and for which there are many published studies and clinical evidence.
Treatment Guidelines:
As it relates to treatments, our recommendation is to start with 30 min setting for the first 3-4 treatments for a dog/cat.
And start on the first or slowest pulse setting (5pps). If you can treat as close to daily in the first few days that is ideal and then after the first 3-5 treatments, you can start to taper down as the effect is cumulative and will stay in the system for days thereafter.
It is at this point that each patient varies based on age, overall health, condition etc. Some dogs/cats that are much older with severely chronic inflammatory conditions like the treatments daily as the pain relief effect can be instantaneous. Others are once a week and still others just a few times a month. The animal will usually tell you when it is time for a treatment based on mobility and pain.
If you notice no response after the first 5-treatments (reduced pain, increased mobility) then jump up the pulse setting to 10pps. The same is true if you notice a plateau in acute healing or if an animal seems averse to a particular setting.
