How to Use the FitPaws Targets

Fun and effective tools to use in training and rehabilitation. These four flexible, non-slip discs can help train new behaviors, improve your dog's proprioception, help introduce your dog to new fitness equipment and more. Foot targets can be specifically good for shaping contact points in agility, beginning casting drills with hunting dogs, teaching a jump pattern for the ring sports or as a target for send away in obedience. The opportunities are endless!

Place one Target on the floor and use a clicker or treat to guide your dog to the Target. Reward your dog when their paw(s) are on the Target. Finally, move the Target to a different spot and repeat the process above to teach your dog the game.

To increase the challenge and unlock more exercise/rehabilitation options, increase the number of Targets used and create an obstacle course or pair the Targets with other FitPaws equipment, such as the Balance Pad.

Safety:

Before beginning this or any physical activity with your dog, ensure they are in good health. A trip to your veterinarian is a great way to start out on the right paw and reduce risk of injury. Always check your dog's nails prior to using this product. Dog nails should be closely trimmed as a sharp nail could damage the targets.

Care Instructions:

Clean with soap and water. Some cleaning solutions may cause damage to the plastic.

FitPaws Balance Ramp

A little disappointed with this ramp. My mini dachshund had spinal surgery 12 weeks ago and I was advised to make her take more weight on her back legs. Thought this ramp would be the answer, however she cannot get a grip. Legs sliding. I place a lick pad on top and this gives her the grip necessary. Surely it shouldn’t have a surface that doesn’t give any grip for recovering pets no matter what size. My Lottie is 5.5 kg

Fantastic equipment!

My dog had TPLO surgery a few months ago, so I brought the 14 inch balance disc. I’ve since brought the new 18 inch and they both work together perfectly. Great quality and it’s really helping her strength. Very fast delivery too
