Mr Finlay, the Rough Collie dog, Paws Knuckle due to Spondylosis

Mr Finlay, the Rough Collie dog, Paws Knuckle due to Spondylosis

I first noticed something was not right with Mr Finlay's back paw when I could hear a loud scraping noise coming from his back paw. I took him to our vets where he had an X-ray. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Spondylosis, from the shoulder blade all the way down his spine. I was told there was no cure.

Mr Finlay takes antibiotics and painkillers to help with the pain. He has laser, physio and hydrotherapy treatment regularly which are all fantastic, the main aim is to strengthen all the muscles in his back to support him the best they can.

The scraping over time has sadly gotten a lot worse to the point his rear paws were bleeding! I had tried every boot on the market but none of them lasted one walk without getting holes in. That's when I was recommended the Maximus PawsUp boots, these have been really great for Mr Finlay, he has gotten on with them so well. They have got his foot in a normal position therefore no more scraping!
