Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • Can my dog wear this all day. I need him to have support all day

Yes your dog can wear this splint all day, but if it gets wet then you must dry it before putting it back on. Be careful they don't chew the straps, and keep an eye on them for rubbing or any naughty behaviour which means they might chew the splint while you're not looking.

  • Hi. My dog drags her paw. Will this paw splint help her?

If your dog drags a paw, yes you can use this boot splint but it is very important to know that this splint will not help align your dog's paw. If you want the best long-term solution which will improve her gait again and put her paw flat, you must look at Maximus PawsUp here. A paw splint can help, but it is only as a short term measure and we really recommend you look at PawsUp to give her the best solution.

  • My spaniel has a broken toe and I'm worried it won't heal. Will this paw boot help him? How do I get the right size for him?

Sorry to hear about your Spaniel, yes it is important to protect a broken toe so it heals in the best position. This paw splint will help keep the toe flat and protect the toe from getting hit by furniture or when he is outside. Measure your dog's paw width at the widest point, this will give you the splint size. It is most likely your Spaniel is a Medium or a size up or down

Zoomadog Buster Boot Paw Splint Features:

  • Lightweight
  • Easy Velcro straps
  • Non-slip rubber base
  • Straightforward to put on

What injuries can the Boot Splint help:

A paw boot dog splint is designed to support and protect a dog’s paw while it heals. It can help with a variety of injuries and conditions, including:

  • Cuts and scrapes – Protects open wounds from dirt and infection.
  • Broken or fractured toes – Keeps the paw immobilised to allow proper healing.
  • Sprains and strains – Supports ligaments and muscles to reduce pain and prevent further injury.
  • Arthritis – Provides cushioning and stability, reducing pressure on painful joints.
  • Paw pad injuries – Shields burns, blisters, or irritated pads.
  • Post-surgery recovery – Protects surgical sites and prevents the dog from licking or chewing stitches.
  • Nail injuries – Supports the paw if a nail is damaged or removed.
  • Infections or hotspots – Prevents dogs from aggravating inflamed or infected areas.

A paw boot splint keeps the paw flat, stable and protected allowing healing while still letting the dog move comfortably.

How to Measure Your Dog:

You need to measure the paw width.

Stand your dog on a tape measure, and make sure the dog is weight bearing.

Brush any long hair away and then measure.
