Maximus Skates - A Pair (two skates) in Blue for Wheelchair Dogs

🟢 In stock, ready to ship

Maximus Skates are excellent for dogs in wheelchairs who have lost the use of their back legs or have aggressive paw knuckling. Skates allow your dog to maintain their natural standing position, protecting their paws and increasing back and forth gliding resulting in exercise. Using skates means your dog will balance well in a dog wheelchair, maintain muscle and mobility.

Maximus Skates are used by 1000s of dogs helping stimulate the paws, including a de-knuckling brace, which can help either front and rear paws. Maximus Skates does not over-stimulate or irritate your dogs pads like other devices in the market. Wheels can be temporarily removed to convert to Maximus PawsUp. As a result, Maximus Skates can support your dog throughout all the stages of a progressive neurological condition such as degenerative myelopathy or through a rehabilitation journey such as IVDD.

  • Excellent if your dog suffers from paw knuckling
  • Increases exercise and muscle usage compared to using stirrups
  • Soft and well padded with a Velcro strap
  • Can be worn for an extended period of time
  • Machine washable

If your order is 'custom' as your dog is an unusual breed or size, we will kindly ask you to pay £30 for shipping from USA.

FYI - Next Day Delivery is not available. Maximus check all orders before we ship, so you get the right size for your dog.

Review: "Made so much of a difference, to be able to mimic that natural motion without her legs being suspended. It built her strength back up, increasing her muscles." [Danna] ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Brilliant

These little skates were hesitatingly suggested by a physio. I asked Zoomadog what they thought and they referred me to the company Maximus who took a look at a video of our dog walking and said he would be a good candidate. They were right. It has completely changed our walks and our dog is very happy with them. However, even if I had received no skates, I got so much really wise advice from Maximus in re-setting the wheelchair so as adjust the whole thing thoroughly. That alone was worth the price of the skates in itself. Overall, I am so happy with the experience and with the skates.

Super amazing speedy shoes

Amazing shoes! Coco has taken to them well, even though we’re on our second go she is loving the extra freedom she wasn’t getting from her other un-wheeled boots. A huge thanks to Emily and Hanna for their help and suggestions

Nala Loves her wheels

Absolutely fantastic invention - these work so well for my German shepherd who knuckles badly on her back feet - she really does skate along on them so smoothly! Well worth the investment to make you dog as comfortable as possible

No wheels needed

Working well, but don't need the wheels just as we thought but tried them anyway but he walks better without. Definetly making a difference
