The Walkin Front Warrior Harness is excellent if your dog needs maximum comfort and stability when they're using their wheelchair instead of the neoprene harness which Walkin Wheel kits come with. Put the harness over your dogs head and clip the wheelchair sidebars into the harness. This harness distributes the weight evenly, making the wheelchair easier to pull. The harness includes adjustable straps at the chest and neck for customised fit. Soft, breathable mesh lining with padding for enjoyable wear. The Warrior Harness can also be used as a regular front lifting harness without wheels.

  • Excellent for maximum comfort, safety and adjustability
  • Easy on/off design
  • Metal D-ring for lead attachment
  • Easily adjustable to fit

Questions & Answers

Have a Question?

Ask a Question
  • What are the washing instructions for this please?

The Front Warrior Harness can be washed on a cool wash with mild detergent. Place inside the mesh bag that comes with the harness. Lay flat to dry.

  • Can I attach my dogs lead to the warrior harness?

Yes there is a metal D Ring clip on the back of the warrior harness which you can attach your dogs lead to, when you take them out in their wheels

  • How is the Warrior Harness different from the standard harness in the wheelchair kit?

The Warrior harness has a wider chest piece which makes it more comfortable when your dog is pulling their wheelchair. This Warrior harness is also easier to put on, as you don't have to work out what is up and down (the red and blue straps).

Harness

Freddie doesn’t normally like harnesses but this one he doesn’t mind, I find that it has more support than the one that comes with the wheels, great harness.

More thought needed in the design for this.

This harness is not really fit for purpose, I'm really really disappointed that I spent so much money on a harness that I now won't use. The front strap that goes around the chest not only restricts the movement in the shoulders but also has no padding which means it's very likely to start rubbing. I will go back to ruffwear harnesses and adapt them myself. I think maybe walking wheels should look at the design of the ruffwear harness and see if they can come up with something like that.

Better than the flimsy harness that comes with walk-in’ wheels

Our dog was not enjoying her wheels so on advice we decided to try the warrior harness. It’s much better than the flimsy one that comes with wheels and fits her well. However the D rings which are supposed to fit over the side struts of the wheels frame were too narrow and wouldn’t go over the struts so we had to remove the ones from the flimsy harness and fix them onto the warrior harness. At £55 I expected them to fit properly, not right for us to have to adapt the old ones when it’s all the same make. Hoping that she will get good use of it.
